1. Purpose

Honest Dating (“HD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a dating and social connection platform operated by Vumira d.o.o., a company registered in the Republic of Slovenia.

We are committed to protecting member privacy, maintaining a safe community, preventing unlawful activity, and cooperating with competent law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable law.

These Law Enforcement Guidelines & Request Protocol (“Guidelines”) explain how authorized government and law enforcement agencies may submit requests for information relating to Honest Dating members and how such requests are assessed and processed.

Our approach is based on four principles:

Respect for applicable law and lawful investigative processes.
Protection of member privacy and fundamental rights.
Verification of the legal validity and scope of requests.
Disclosure limited to information that is lawfully required or otherwise legally permitted.

These Guidelines do not create independent legal authority to obtain member information and do not replace applicable judicial, statutory, or regulatory procedures.

As a company established in Slovenia, Vumira d.o.o. processes law enforcement requests in accordance with applicable Slovenian law, European Union law, and other legally binding obligations.

Relevant legislation may include, where applicable:

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2).
Applicable Slovenian criminal procedure legislation.
Applicable EU rules governing electronic evidence and cross-border cooperation.
Other relevant national or international legal instruments.

Requests originating outside Slovenia are assessed in accordance with the applicable legal framework, including relevant international cooperation mechanisms.

A request issued by a foreign authority does not automatically establish legal authority to compel disclosure by Vumira d.o.o.

3. Who May Submit Requests

These Guidelines are intended for authorized representatives of:

Police and criminal investigation authorities.
Prosecutorial authorities.
Courts and judicial authorities.
Other competent government agencies with lawful investigative powers.
Authorized authorities acting through applicable international legal cooperation mechanisms.

Requests from private individuals, private investigators, employers, commercial organizations, or other unauthorized third parties are not treated as law enforcement requests.

Members seeking access to their own personal information should consult our Privacy Policy and use the applicable privacy-request procedure.

4. Submission of Law Enforcement Requests

Official requests should be submitted through Honest Dating's designated legal contact channel.

Requests should be submitted using an official government or agency email address wherever possible.

We may require additional verification before accepting a request or disclosing information.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that information will be preserved or disclosed.

5. Required Information

To facilitate appropriate assessment, law enforcement requests should include:

The requesting agency's full name and jurisdiction.
The requesting officer's or official's name, title, and identification details.
Official agency contact information.
The relevant investigation or case reference number.
A description of the investigation or legal purpose.
The specific information requested.
The legal authority supporting the request.
Any applicable court order, warrant, subpoena, production order, or equivalent legal instrument.
The relevant date range.
Sufficient information to identify the relevant account or accounts.
Any applicable disclosure deadline.
Whether confidentiality or delayed member notification is legally required.

Requests should be sufficiently specific to allow us to identify the relevant records without unnecessarily affecting unrelated members.

Where a request is incomplete, unclear, excessively broad, or legally insufficient, Honest Dating may request clarification or additional documentation.

6. Account Identification

To help identify the correct account, requesting authorities should provide one or more relevant identifiers, where available.

These may include:

Honest Dating account or member ID.
Registered email address.
Relevant profile information.
Associated account identifiers.
Relevant content or conversation identifiers.
Applicable timestamps.
Other specific information reasonably necessary to identify the account.

A first name alone may be insufficient to identify a particular member.

Honest Dating does not independently guarantee that a member's legal identity has been verified.

Our registration verification process is intended to establish human presence and consistency between the person completing liveness verification and their main profile photograph.

It does not constitute government-issued identity verification.

7. Categories of Information

Depending on the applicable legal authority, technical availability, retention periods, and scope of the request, Honest Dating may hold information in the following categories.

The inclusion of a category below does not mean that every record is collected, permanently retained, or available for disclosure.

7.1 Account and Registration Information

Potentially available records may include:

Internal account identifiers.
Registration information.
Registered email address.
Authentication-provider information.
Account creation date.
Account status.
Verification status.
Relevant account-management history.

7.2 Profile Information

Potentially available information may include:

Profile photographs.
Profile attributes.
Interests.
Dating intention.
Optional profile information.
Answers submitted through applicable profile features.

7.3 Connection and Interaction Records

Subject to availability and lawful authority, relevant records may include:

Romantic Likes.
Friendship Offers.
Matches.
Friendships.
Connection status and relevant timestamps.
Blocking and reporting records.

7.4 Communications

Depending on technical availability and applicable law, relevant records may include:

Private message content.
Message timestamps.
Conversation identifiers.
Relevant communication metadata.
Target Me posts.
Target Me public discussions.
Target Me private replies.

Voice and video call records, where available, may include applicable call metadata.

The existence of voice or video calling functionality does not imply that Honest Dating routinely records or stores the audiovisual content of calls.

7.5 Target Me Information

Relevant records may include:

Submitted post content.
Selected audience criteria.
Publication and expiration information.
Identity-display mode.
Replies and discussion content.
Relevant moderation decisions.
Available audit records.

Incognito is a member-facing identity-display option and does not create immunity from lawful investigations.

7.6 Technical and Security Information

Where collected and retained, relevant information may include:

Login and authentication events.
IP addresses.
Device or session identifiers.
Relevant security events.
Account-integrity records.
Available operational audit logs.

7.7 Payment Information

Relevant records may include:

Membership status.
Payment transaction identifiers.
Payment dates and amounts.
Selected monthly contribution amounts.
Refunds.
Payment disputes.
Relevant payment-processing references.

Payment-card information may be held by our authorized payment processor rather than directly by Honest Dating.

Authorities seeking information held independently by a payment provider may need to direct an appropriate request to that provider.

7.8 Biometric Verification Information

Honest Dating uses biometric verification technology for human verification and main-profile-photo consistency.

Biometric information is considered particularly sensitive.

Requests involving biometric information are subject to heightened scrutiny, applicable legal requirements, necessity, proportionality, and technical availability.

We will not disclose biometric information merely upon an informal request.

Where appropriate, we may seek clarification, require additional legal authority, or challenge a request that does not adequately establish a lawful basis for disclosure.

8. Legal Review and Validation

Honest Dating assesses law enforcement requests before disclosing member information.

Our review may include:

Verifying the requesting authority.
Confirming the authenticity of the request.
Assessing the cited legal basis.
Determining whether the request is binding on Vumira d.o.o.
Evaluating jurisdictional requirements.
Assessing necessity and proportionality where applicable.
Identifying the specific records requested.
Considering relevant privacy and confidentiality obligations.
Determining whether additional legal procedures are required.

We may reject, challenge, or seek clarification of requests that are invalid, excessively broad, inconsistent with applicable law, or insufficiently supported.

Nothing in these Guidelines prevents Honest Dating from complying with a legally binding order issued by a competent authority.

9. International Law Enforcement Requests

Honest Dating may receive requests from authorities outside Slovenia, including authorities in other EU Member States and the United States.

Such requests will be evaluated under the applicable legal framework.

Where required, foreign authorities may need to use an appropriate international cooperation mechanism, such as:

Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty procedures.
Applicable European judicial cooperation instruments.
Relevant EU electronic-evidence procedures.
Other legally recognized cross-border mechanisms.

An informal request, foreign subpoena, or administrative communication does not automatically compel disclosure where the requesting authority lacks applicable jurisdiction or legal authority.

Honest Dating may cooperate voluntarily only where a valid legal basis exists and disclosure is permitted under applicable law.

10. Emergency Disclosure Requests

Honest Dating recognizes that exceptional circumstances may require urgent consideration.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may consider emergency disclosure requests involving a credible and imminent risk of death or serious physical harm.

Examples may include:

An imminent threat to a person's life.
A credible threat of serious physical violence.
An immediate child-safety emergency.
Other comparable circumstances involving urgent and serious danger.

Emergency requests should clearly explain:

The nature of the emergency.
The person or persons at risk.
Why the threat is considered imminent.
The specific information required.
How the requested information may help prevent or address the danger.
Why ordinary legal procedures cannot reasonably be completed in time.

Emergency requests remain subject to verification and legal assessment.

An emergency designation does not automatically guarantee disclosure.

Where disclosure is legally permitted, we will seek to limit it to information reasonably necessary to address the identified emergency.

Honest Dating is not an emergency dispatch or response service. Authorities should not rely on this channel as a substitute for established emergency-response procedures.

11. Preservation Requests

Law enforcement authorities may request preservation of specified information relevant to an investigation.

A preservation request should identify:

The requesting authority.
The relevant account or records.
The legal basis for preservation.
The requested preservation period.
The relevant investigation or case number.
The scope of information to be preserved.

Where legally required or otherwise permitted, Honest Dating may preserve specified existing records to prevent their deletion during the applicable preservation period.

Preservation does not itself authorize disclosure.

A separate valid legal basis may be required before preserved information can be released.

Preservation is subject to applicable law, technical feasibility, and the availability of the requested information.

Honest Dating cannot guarantee recovery of information that has already been lawfully deleted or is no longer available.

12. Data Minimization and Disclosure

Where disclosure is legally required or otherwise permitted, Honest Dating applies appropriate data-minimization principles.

We seek to disclose only information relevant to the lawful scope of the request.

We do not provide unrestricted access to member databases, internal systems, or unrelated personal information.

Where appropriate, information may be redacted or disclosure may be limited to particular records or time periods.

Disclosures are conducted through appropriately controlled processes.

13. Member Notification

Honest Dating respects transparency regarding government access to personal information.

Where legally permitted and appropriate, we may notify an affected member that their information has been requested or disclosed.

Notification may be delayed or withheld where:

Prohibited by a valid legal order.
Required by applicable law.
It would create a serious risk to an investigation.
It could endanger another person.
It would otherwise be unlawful or compromise legitimate safety interests.

We assess notification requirements according to the applicable circumstances and legal framework.

14. Confidentiality and Security

Law enforcement requests and associated disclosures are handled through restricted internal processes.

Access is limited to authorized personnel with a legitimate operational or legal need.

Appropriate security measures may include:

Role-based access controls.
Secure storage and transmission.
Verification of recipients.
Internal approval procedures.
Audit logging.
Controlled information exports.
Appropriate retention and deletion procedures.

Sensitive information is not made available to unauthorized employees or external parties.

15. Records and Auditability

Honest Dating maintains appropriate internal records relating to legal requests and disclosures.

Depending on applicable requirements, these may include:

Date of receipt.
Requesting authority.
Case reference.
Legal basis.
Requested information.
Verification and review steps.
Preservation decisions.
Disclosure decisions.
Information disclosed.
Relevant internal approvals.
Completion or closure status.

Records are retained according to applicable legal, privacy, security, and operational requirements.

16. Requests Concerning Minors and Sexual Exploitation

Honest Dating is an adults-only platform.

We prohibit child sexual abuse material, grooming, trafficking, and sexual exploitation.

Where we become aware of suspected activity involving serious exploitation or abuse, we may take appropriate action, including:

Restricting or terminating relevant accounts.
Preserving information where legally justified.
Reviewing relevant evidence through authorized processes.
Reporting suspected unlawful activity to competent authorities where required or otherwise legally permitted.
Cooperating with valid investigative requests.

We handle such matters with appropriate urgency and regard for the safety and privacy of affected individuals.

17. Requests for Removal or Restriction of Content

Authorities may submit legally authorized requests concerning content that is alleged to be unlawful.

Such requests should identify:

The specific content.
The relevant account or content identifier.
The applicable legal basis.
The requested action.
The issuing authority.
Any applicable deadline.

Requests are evaluated in accordance with applicable law, including relevant EU requirements governing online services.

Honest Dating may also independently restrict content that violates its Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, subject to applicable law.

18. Processing Times

We aim to assess valid law enforcement requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Processing time depends on factors including:

The completeness of the request.
The applicable legal procedure.
The scope and complexity of the information sought.
Whether additional verification is necessary.
The availability of the requested records.
Applicable statutory deadlines.
Whether an emergency is involved.

Submitting a request does not guarantee a particular response or disclosure timeframe.

Where appropriate, we may contact the requesting authority for clarification or additional documentation.

19. No General Surveillance or Unrestricted Access

Honest Dating does not provide law enforcement authorities with unrestricted, continuous, or informal access to its member database.

We do not treat the existence of an investigation as automatic authorization for indiscriminate disclosure.

Requests involving ongoing surveillance, bulk information, or unusually broad categories of member data are subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate scrutiny.

Any legally compelled disclosure will be handled according to the relevant binding obligations.

20. Changes to These Guidelines

Honest Dating may update these Guidelines to reflect changes in applicable law, operational practices, security requirements, or the Service.

The current version will be made publicly available through our website.

Changes do not override existing legal obligations or valid binding orders.
